I like the game for the most part except there is no use for all the Gil I acquired playing halfway through the game. Is there even a point to it?

If you play this game then for longer than a second then you do, do not support this lame, lazy, cash grab of a game when they do not even support their “premium iOS” games.

Game says it all when they grant in game currency and forget to give it any purpose. Although its probably one of the better things you can rub out in the bathroom...

Extremely boring and forgettable I cant believe square enix made this. You touch the screen and thats it. The entire game is touching the screen until it asks you to pay money. Even the biggest final fantasy fans should stay away.

This game is a nostalgia trip in music and graphics only. If you want that, you can easily youtube videos of the old Final Fantasy titles this game shamelessly extracts from! or buy the original games! many of which have readily available purchase outlets. The game is nothing but an exercise in swiping the screen all day. In order to maximize your attack, you effectively cover the screen with three fingers and swipe randomly. This is silly, both because it is downright mindless, and you basically obscure much of the screen most of the fight. Bad design. Gets worse, however, when you realize that no matter what, the difficulty spikes for enemies is such that they WILL wipe your party, forcing you to wait, or waste gold hour glasses. The eventual result is that you run out of glasses, prompting purchases for a game with zero depth. It gets more appalling when you might become interested in hero characters like Cloud. For a buck, you can get a hero... At random. There are more than 30 random heroes, and all they do is look a bit different than the standard characters. Then theres even more DLC... Costing even more money. But all this all just more of the same repetitive and lazy design of swiping like a madman, only with textures ripped from other titles. Not worth the initial price of admission, certainly not worth shelling for heroes, or new stages that add NOTHING to the game.

Shameless pay2play cash grab. I expected better of square enix. They produced some of my most cherished gaming experiences. Want to revive your party? Pay us. Want a non generic character? Pay us. Want a story? Too bad. Its actually a better value to buy one of the mobile FF reboots. 0/10

The game is great except for the fact that you have to use money to get premium things. One thing that would make the game better is that you could use 2 million gil to summon a premium character and 10 million gil to unlock a premium world.

This game was pretty entertaining, but lacked strategy. The game was fun; full of nostalgic bosses and themes, but the only thing that really ticked me off was the Gil you earn is useless, other than bragging rights. Honestly, if this game had made use of the Gil and had a better battle system, I would totally rate this 5 stars.

Gil has no purpose in the game. Everything requires real money!

SNS option not linking with Twitter. This prevents you from getting the final 8 character slots for your party. IAP costs are astronomical. 0.99 for a random "premium " character. 3.99 (each) for the extra content. Thats 11.97 for all the extra content (which is small), and 34.65 for the premium characters!!!!!! Thats over 46.00 in IAP (BEFORE TAX) and not even including IAP for the gold hourglasses.... It is an in-your-face cash grab... no attempt to even hide it. Excluding the IAP, the game is mindless but entertaining. If they cut the cost on the extra content (world tickets) and used in-game currency for "premium" characters, Id rate this up much higher. The fact that the SNS feature is broken as well, earns this barely 1 star. -FF fan

Fun game of you got time to kill. Only problem Ive been having is with the SNS not working, leaving me unable to have a max party.

I absolutely love this game! Its perfect when you have a few minutes to kill, but you have to know what youre getting into. Its NOT an RPG. Its a fun little throwback with optional spending features. I didnt mind paying for every single premium character and level. I wish there were more! If you know what to expect, FFATB is great for any FF fan.

This is a very simple but fun RPG with awesome SNES graphics. Its really easy to pick up and play but the only real problem is all of purchases. You die in 1 hit so youll be buying stuff a lot to keep going. But luckily its not a requirement. You can always just wait a few minutes to try again.

I downloaded this game due to the free play of it, same as record keeper, the only downside is that I can play record keeper and use Gil that I get from the battles. I have too much gil and 5 stages through final fantasy all the bravest. Please Id give a better review and or rating if there was a possibility of me using Gil rather than it being a score keeping system.... :/

Its a really good game, even the TITLE sounds great! (To me at least) Anyway, I dont wanna spend my time a wasting, so Ill just get to the point. I dont have Blue Mage anymore. I unlocked it, played a level or two with it, then they just, DISAPPEARED. I waited about an hour, used some Golden Hourglasses, kaput. Nothing. I dont know what to do. Square Einx, (sorry if I spelled it wrong) please help.

Gameplay is one-dimensional. Some functions seem to be afterthoughts or incomplete ideas Square Enix couldnt be bothered to get back to (e.g., gil can be acquired, but does nothing.) SNS function is required for a complete team of 40, but is broken with no signs of ever being fixed. Meanwhile, half of game completion goals and achievements rely on major in-app expenditures. This is a half-assed project meant to get money while the getting is good. Square will never fix or update it. Its a serviceable time-killer, but dont set your hopes higher than that.
