Its frustrating the fact that in order to play with your favorite characters you need to pay such an extortive amount of money.... The game is nice but the whole money thing makes you dont want to play it.....

It is build to take your money without provide much entertainment. This should be easly a Zynga game.

I should have read the reviews before I wasted 4$ on this game. Feeling nostalgic for a quality FF game? Sorry, not here. If you do decide to download it, make sure you write a review though!

Square has some balls charging for this game. Its structured like a free to play except they only unlock content with real money.

After playing the first few fights, you will experience all that the game has to offer. Basically it comes down to swiping your screen and hoping you can kill your enemies before you would need to use your hourglass.

Besides you swiping your finger up and down the screen like youre trying to clean it there are no gameplay elements. And after your party is dead you have to wait for HALF AN HOUR to continue.... Unless you want to pay. There are more options for purchasing items in the menu than all other options combined! Without any actual choice in gameplay I wonder if we as players are needed at all, the game sure doesnt think so.

Waste of money... You can do better

Its every final fantasy character in one game ? Some you pay for, others you unlock. You have no purpose for gil besides it being a score. Every fight is the same. I maxed out my characters in 4 hours. There isnt much more than swiping your finger across all the characters to defeat the enemies before they defeat you. One hit and a character of yours is dead, its kind of stupid. Time consuming game but eh, not really worth the buy, if you got to pay for everything else. Nice try for an idea though

Oddly entertaining for me. You dont die as often f you grind a little. Hopefully we get the option to arrange our party roster

This game is a total waste of time and money. It is 100% linear, you cant spend gold change equipment or even choose where you want to go. If your a fan of FF stay far far away from this game, you will be HUGLY dissapointed.

Im a huge FF fan but this game is hard to swallow. There is zero skill involved, all you do is tap the screen non stop. And on top of it they charge $.99 per character unlock. With 35 characters thats a lot of cash. I has no problem paying $28 for FF dimensions, but this game has absolutely zero substance. Also how does this game have 3 stars still? 99% of reviews are 1star.

Fun game until you realize you need to pay for extra content that will help you move forward in the game and its not cheap. Really greedy if you ask me. Very deceiving!

That money pit game make you lose a really big fan! This is the worst way to treat your long term base fan!

Okay there are loads of bad reviews here but this game is not as bad as they make it sound. If you expect a complete old school rpg, then this is not what you are looking for, but if you want a casual game that is fun to pick up and play once in a while then this is a good choice. It is true that the add on content can be a bit expensive, but you dont need to buy any to complete the game, Ive completed it and I have never bought a single golden hourglass, if you die you can just leave the battle and do some grinding, no need to spend money! Not to mention that the whole atmosphere of nostalgia of the game is awesome, every fan of old school ff will be charmed by this, rediscovering classic bosses, music, jobs, monsters, etc. I would totally recommend this game!

If you like wiping smudges off of your iPad then this is the game for you! The attack timer for each character class refills at varying rates, inevitably turning each battle into frenzied scribbling with your index finger. Hilariously you arent even able to target who your characters attack, leading to situations where multiple enemies are all at half health and your party is wiped out. Conveniently you can purchase a new group of cannon fodder with real $ to finish the battles! Umm yay? The $47 of IAP thats on offer is in addition to the revive hourglasses previously mentioned. Hourglasses are three for a dollar.

The game is fun, and you dont even need to buy any of the in all purchases listed, its a casual game Square Enix has made for the casual gamers obviously. Im level 65 and I still havent seen any reason to actually pay for anything unless you want to play with Cloud or Squall etc.
