Reeks of a cash grab
Looks like it might be good, but why would SE make anything good for $4.
Battle System: Heres a random assortment of characters, just keep tapping until the battle is over. Want choice or strategy? Too bad.
Music: like the sprites, it tries to imitate a real FF game, but instead its just another layer of nostalgia to keep you from noticing the crap within.
Add ons: Thought $4 was enough for the game? Well there are the three chapter packs for $4 each. Then the 35 characters you can unlock for 99 cents each. Oh and those are randomly chosen, so keep pumping in the bucks until you get you fave. And this doesnt even touch the Hourglass system.
Hourglass system: That army of characters you have? One hit and theyre dead. They respawn every three minutes. You can also bring them all back at once using an hourglass. You can buy those with you hard earned money too. But SE was nice enough to give you three at the beginning to use when you choose. Except to get through the first battle you practically are forced to use one by the control scheme.
Gil: You earn it, but you cant spend it.
Equipment: You earn it but you cant equip it.
Basically everything that makes a FF game has been stripped out and replaced with moneyhats. But hey, if you want to spend $50 on a game where you swirl your finger across the screen, be my guest.
